Kivonat: In the presentation, we first present the problems raised by GEHC and specify those the different groups have started to study. The University of Szeged has achieved results in minimizing observation cost by sequential methods. A group from the University of Debrecen conducted the study of a large American medical database. In this presentation, we expose a detailed statistical analysis of the National Lung Screening Trial (NLST) database of CT images and related demographic and other data of patients. We anticipate that our proposed procedure helps to explain the 90% false positive diagnosis determined from CT images, and as a consequence may induce more effective use of CT imaging.
